Dear Psychology 203 student,
Welcome to the online version of Child Psychology. If this is your first online course or your first opportunity to use the Blackboard system, I strongly urge you to attend the Orientation Session on the evening of Wednesday, January 22nd. The "Introduction to Online Learning Workshop" will be held in Rennie Forum in the Largo Student Center from 5:00 to 6:00 pm and will be repeated from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. This workshop is designed to acquaint you with Blackboard and online courses in general. If you are already very familiar with Blackboard and the online format, attendance at one of these general sessions is not necessary.
You will be able to login to our class on the evening of the 22nd. If you go to http://www.pgcc.com. you will find information about how to login, how to change your email, and how to change your password, as well as other valuable information on being an online student. This site is an important resource for distance education students.
If you would like any assistance on the evening of the Orientation or would just like to stop by and meet me, I will be in my office in M2054 from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. If you would like to find out more about what we will be doing in the course now, please click on the Psychology 203 button for a copy of the syllabus for our course.
I look forward to working with each of you this semester--both those who are new to online learning and those who are experienced distance learners--as we explore the fascinating field of Child Psychology.
