with the college’s mission, the Learning Foundations Division is dedicated to
helping each student who has the potential to benefit from a college education
reach the educational goal to which each aspires. The division offers
academic enrichment and developmental courses in reading, writing and mathematics to help prepare
students for college credit courses. In addition, the programs emphasize
literacy, critical thinking, study, test-taking, and computer skills.
Students have the opportunity to work with faculty, tutors,
mentors, and counselors when they need extra assistance or have special needs or
concerns. The courses are offered in a variety of formats:
- Day, evening, or weekend
- Half-semester sessions, summer sessions, and
- Traditional instructor-led, self-paced, and hybrid or
