Making a connection with numerical information requires a sense of some relationship between the input information and the output information. This is asking whether there is some dependence of the output on the input. This connection can be viewed as a sense of some trend when comparing successive output information as the input information increases. Primarily, this starts with organizing the information and, ultimately, this means viewing the information. To determine the relationship of the data, you will need to follow these basic steps:
1. Enter the data into the calculator.
2. View the points graphically.
3. Establish the type of trend the graph has.
4. If possible, determine a line that best represents that trend.
5. If a line is found, the trend can be used to predict additional related information.


Well, the steps are a little more involved but you'll get the hang of it.
