  • Search the Subject Guide to browse a listing of subjects, people, products, and organizations that contain words entered. It also provides a link to articles.
  • Select Subject Guide to find articles on the topic: Studies show that learning disabilities exist with attention deficit disorder. Enter attention deficit disorder in the search box.

  • Narrow by subdivision

  • Keyword Search matches words in title, citation, or abstract or in entire article content. The Boolean operators and, or, not and a phrase can be used. Use parentheses when there is more than one operator and truncate (*) word for variant spellings.
  • Select Keyword Search and enter (attention deficit disorder* OR ADHD) AND learning in the search box. Limit by to articles with text and by dates.

  • Return to Search from the menu and limit this search by selecting refereed publications to select peer review journals.

  • Return to Search from the menu and select Advanced Search. Advanced Search involves selecting an index (e.g., ke=keyword) from a pull down menu and entering a term. Use Boolean operators and, or, not to connect words. Restrict the search to a research article articles by entering research in the subject field and limit articles to text and refeered publications.

  • Return to Search from the menu and select Relevance Search. Relevance Search looks for words and word variants, alone and in combinations. Search for words in title, citation, abstract, or article. Find articles by title, author, or subject combinations.
  • Enter the "attention deficit disorder" as a phrase search by enclosing it in double quotations ("") and limiting to text articles and psychology (psycholog*) journals.
