Human Resource Management is paramount in 21st century organizations. Managers, Executives and Administrators have a responsibility to ensure that operations, divisions, and departments are utilizing the most effective and efficient Human Resource techniques. An objective of this course is to immerse students in Human Resource techniques via extensive research. A second objective is to ensure that Students acquire a comprehensive theoretical and practical ability to implement and employ Human Resource policies, practices and techniques.
Online students are required to complete substantial research. The research consists searching a variety of websites and extracting relevant pertinent and critical aspects of case studies, Informational clusters and Corporate and Governmental Human Resource applications.
Online students are required to post researched data into "BLACKBOARD'S" bulletin board (BB) on a regular basis. The term "regular basis" does NOT necessarily mean on a daily basis however, it equally do NOT mean on a weekly basis.
Online students are required to post research on an Individual basis. That is to say, each question must be posted Individually as opposed to a collective posting. The textbook assigned to this course is OPTIONAL since 95% of the research is web based.
This course shall include four (4) comprehensive multiple choice exams. Each exam shall be administered either online OR in the PGCC testing center located in Accokeek Hall. Each exam respectively, shall equal 20% of final grade for a combined total of 80% of final grade. Posting research to the bulletin board is 20% or 1\5 of final grade.
EXAM 1 = 20% OF FINAL GRADE
EXAM 2 = 20% OF FINAL GRADE
EXAM 3 = 20% OF FINAL GRADE
EXAM 4 = 20% OF FINAL GRADE
EXAM 5 = 20% OF FINAL GRADE
THE FINAL 20% (EXAM 5) SHALL BE CONTINGENT UPON THE DEGREE
