One way to improve your feelings about mathematics and your understanding of the material we study in this course is to work with other students in small cooperative groups.  Each week we will devote one hour of class time to Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) activities:
You will meet as a "team" with of 7 or 8 of your classmates and with a team leader.  Your leader will be a college student; a strong mathematics who has already completed intermediate algebra.
Your team will work together at each team meeting to complete a collection of workshop activities.
Your leader will help you learn how to work together effectively as you find "team solutions" to the problems posed on the workshop activity sheet.
Your leader is not a tutor, and will not solve the problems for you!
