ORGANIZATIONS OF INTEREST TO PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS

There are several organizations that should be of interest to all psychology students. Spend some time exploring each of these and bookmark the sites.

American Psychological Association
www.apa.org
This is one of the major organizations devoted to the interests of  psychology. The sire is a large one and contains many links to graduate schools and other sites of interest. Students can join APA for a very reasonable dues and receive many of its publications.

American Psychological Society
www.psychologicalscience.org
APS is the other major organization related to psychology. It is sometimes thought of as being more devoted to scientific psychology than is APA which is often seen at the clinician's organization. Both groups, however, are interested in scientific research.

Psi Beta
www.psibeta.org
Psi Beta is the psychology honor society for community college students. Joining an honorary society and participating in its activities is a good way to learn more about psychology and to begin to develop a network of other people who are interested in psychology.

Psi Chi
www.psichi.org
Psi Chi is  the psychology honor society for four year college students. Joining an honorary society and participating in its activities is a good way to learn more about psychology and to begin to develop a network of other people who are interested in psychology.
