Welcome to the world of Psychology. I am Dr.
Diane Finley, an Associate Professor at Prince George's Community College. My training is in developmental and
social psychology with a specialty in sport psychology. I also have
certification as a counselor. In addition I have taught at the secondary level
for several years and worked as the Coordinator of Teacher Education at the
Community College of Baltimore County
My research focuses on several aspects of sport psychology and I am
currently working on a study of cross-cultural attitudes about women's
participation in sport with colleagues from Argentina and Australia.
Outside of school, I spend a lot of time involved in
sports. I am a major baseball fan, especially the
Bowie Baysox (the
AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) and I have a
private sport psychology
practice.
