In the honors section of this course (only offered in the FALL semester of each year) you will be expected to do a close reading of some selected philosophers.
Almost always Plato will be one of those, but then we may also cover other classical and modern thinkers.
You will read and write and discuss ideas which are crucial to our understanding of ourselves and our world. And you will come out of the course knowing more about how you think on important issues. You will also emerge with sharper reasoning and listening skills.
This will be section 9808 during 2007.
