Exam #1 - History of Rwanda

This exam requires using the file entitled FP1ExamDataA

 

  1. Bold and center the title “Brief History of Rwanda”  (E)     
  2. Highlight the text and make it size 14.  (E)
  3. Right align the citing and website at the bottom of the page.  (E)
  4. Make the background of the page the color Aqua.  (M)
  5. Go to sentence 3 and bold the name, The Rwandan Patriotic Front.  (M)
  6. In sentence 8, italicize the four names of Rwanda’s neighboring countries. (M)
  7. After the name Zaire in sentence number 8, write this: (Currently known as the Democratic Republic of Congo) (M)
  8. Above the citations, make a list of Rwanda’s four neighboring countries; Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo.  (H)
  9. Search the World Wide Web. Find a map of Rwanda.  Copy and paste in between the text and the citations at the bottom of the page. (H)
  10. Search the World Wide Web and insert a hyperlink to any site about Rwanda.  Title the hyperlink “More information on Rwanda” (H)

 

 

 

Exam # 2 – Maps

This exam requires opening a blank Front Page document.

 

  1. Make the background dark pink. (M)
  2. Type in white, size 14 font your instructor’s name in the upper right hand corner. (E)
  3. Hit enter two times.  Type : Map of the United States in white, size 12 font (E)
  4. Search the World Wide Web for a map of the United States, copy and paste it into the site. (H)
  5. In pink font, insert a hyperlink to any website on America and title it “Information on America.” (H)
  6. In the center of the page, type the state name Maryland in white.  Underline and bold the name.  Center it.  (M)
  7. Type this sentence in italics, “Maryland is on the East Coast of the United States.” (M)
  8. In white font, type “University of Maryland.”  Copy and paste it underneath the original and highlight it green. (H)
  9. Search the Web for the University of Maryland school flag and paste it on the page. (H)
  10. Save this document and name the file “MAPS and FLAGS” (H)

 

 

Exam# 3 - Themes and Charts

This exam requires using the file entitled FP1ExamDataC

  1. Type your name in Green in size 14 font at the tope of the page above the table. (E)
  2. In column 1, cut the word “Assignments” and paste it in column 1, row 2. (M)
  3. Center the days of the week in each of their respective cells. (M)
  4. Bold all of the text in the table. (E)
  5. Make the cells of the entire front row Red.  (H)
  6. Insert five rows to the table.  (H)
  7. Change the font of the sentence, “My favorite thing to do on the weekend:” to Gungsuh.  (E)
  8. Underneath the sentence, “My favorite thing to do on the weekend:” type your favorite activity.  (E)
  9. Insert a table that is 4 columns and two rows above the sentence “My favorite thing to do on the weekend:”  (H)
  10. Use any design of WordArt to insert the heading in size 36 font “My Weekly Schedule” above the table.   (H)

 

Exam #4 - NUR

This exam requires the use the file entitled FP1ExamDataD

 

  1. In the first sentence of the first paragraph, change NUR to size 14 font. (E)
  2. Title this page in all capital letters and size 18 font, “National University of Rwanda Mission.” (E)
  3. Use the Spelling Check to fix the mistakes in sentence one. (E)
  4. Make the background of the page Red and make each of the four bolded titles White font. (M)
  5. Insert a time and date stamp using the day/month/year format. (H)
  6. Above the first paragraph entitled, “To Provide Teaching at a Higher Level,” insert a white horizontal line. (M)
  7. Below SOURCE, Search the NUR site and copy and paste the contact information for the University Laboratory.  (M)
  8. Beneath SOURCE, insert a hyperlink to the National University of Rwanda and title it Welcome to the National University of Rwanda! Numbers 8 and 9 have no specific sequence.  (H)
  9. Using the Format Tab, number and align each paragraph 1-4.  (H)
  10. Draw a table beneath the last paragraph and write your professor’s name in it. (H)

 

Exam #5 – Music

This Exam requires the use of the file named FP1ExamDataE

 

  1. Center and underline the title “MUSIC” (E)
  2. Cut the second sentence and paste it before the first sentence (E)
  3. Change the font of the two sentences under the title to Arial Black (E)
  4. Add a hyperlink to the webpage for www.mtv.com which reads “Music Information” (M)
  5. Change the color of the background to white (M)
  6. Change the width and size of the picture so that it is smaller and clear (M)
  7. Above the table and below the picture, make a list of your three favorite musicians, title it “List of Three Favorite Musicians” then underneath the title, list the musicians “1.” “2.” “3.” (M)
  8. Add a picture of your favorite musician from the internet somewhere onto the page (H)
  9. Insert an extra row into the chart and fill it with your name and social security number (H)
  10. Change the format so that the hyperlinks are green (H)

 

 

 

Exam #6 – Microsoft

This Exam requires the use of the file named FP1ExamDataF

 

  1. Bold and center the title “Microsoft Office” (E)
  2. Change the font to Arial and 24 point font of the title “Microsoft Office” (E)
  3. Underline and italicize the phrase “Microsoft Office contains 6 main programs:” (E)
  4. Make the background of the entire page Red (M)
  5. Add the hyperlink www.microsoft.com beneath the picture (M)
  6. Add a hyperlink www.microsoft.com/office to the Microsoft picture (M)
  7. Take the list of 6 programs and bullet the list using plain bullets (H)
  8. Insert a 2x1 table at the very top of the page above the title “Microsoft Office” (H)
  9. In the line of the table, write your name and in the second line of the table write the date.  Right align both of these. (H)
  10. Change the borders of the table to the color white (H)

 

 

Exam #7 – University of Maryland

This Exam requires the use of the file named FP1ExamDataG

 

  1. Center, bold, underline, and change the font size to 18 point of the title of the web page “The University of Maryland” (E)
  2. Change the font of the text of the body to Arial (E)
  3. Center the University of Maryland Logo above the title (E)
  4. Make the entire background of the page yellow (M)
  5. Change the color of the text of the body to red (M)
  6. Add a hyperlink to the logo at the top of the page to www.umd.edu (M)
  7. At the bottom of the page create a 3x1 table and include the titles “Name”, “Date”, and “Name of Teacher” and change the font of the table alone to Comic Sans MS font and the color black (H)
  8. Change the color of the borders of the table to black and the background of the table to the color red (H)
  9. Insert a border around the text “Source” and the website (H)
  10. Insert a horizontal line between the paragraphs so that there are a total of three lines (H)

 

 

Exam #8 – National Parks of Rwanda

This Exam requires the use of the file named FP1ExamDataH

 

  1. Center, bold, and change the size of the font to 24 the title “National Parks of Rwanda” (E)
  2. Change the font of the title to Arial (E)
  3. Underline and change the color of the font to Red of the headings “The Akagera National Park” and “The Volcanoes National Park” (E)
  4. Change the size of the text following the two headings to size 10 font (E)
  5. Change the color of the background to blue (M)
  6. Change the color of the hyperlinked website to yellow (M)
  7. Using the plain bullets, bullet the two headings “The Akagera National Park” and “The Volcanoes National Park” (H)
  8. Search the internet for a picture of a Gorilla and insert it under “The Volcanoes National Park” heading (H)
  9. Change the hyperlink at the bottom so it still links you to the site but the text reads “The National University of Rwanda” (H)
  10. At the bottom of the page create a 3x1 table and include the titles “Name”, “Date”, and “Name of Teacher” and change the width of the table so it aligns with the letter “N” in the title (H)

 

 

Exam #9 – Football

This Exam requires the use of the file named FP1ExamDataI

 

  1. Center, bold, and change the size of the font to 24 the title “Football” (E)
  2. Change the font of the entire page to Comic Sans MS (E)
  3. Change the color of the title “Football” to red (E)
  4. Center all three paragraphs (E)
  5. Change the background of the page to the color green (M)
  6. Format the color of the entire text so it is yellow (M)
  7. Change the hyperlink displayed so it reads “Federation International Football Association” (M)
  8. Search the web for a picture related to football and insert it under the “Source” (M)
  9. Place borders around the three paragraphs in the body and change the color of the borders to red (H)
  10. Remove the border around the “Source” (H)

 

 

 

 

Exam #10 – Personal Webpage

This Exam requires the use of a blank Front Page document.

 

  1. Create a title that says “MY WEBPAGE” and center, bold, underline, and change the font size to 24 (E)
  2. Change the background to blue (E)
  3. Insert the date and right align it at the very top of the page (E)
  4. Format the color of the text to red (E)
  5. Format the color of hyperlinks so they would appear yellow on the screen (M)
  6. Insert 3 websites you visit and center these (Note: the hyperlinks should appear yellow from step 4) (M)
  7. Insert a picture from either clipart or the web (M)
  8. Create a bulleted list of 4 headings “Name”, “Date of Birth”, “Gender”, and “Grade” and fill out each according to your information (H)
  9. Create a 2x1 table and in first line type “My Hobbies:” and write some hobbies of yours and in the second line type “Courses” and list some courses you are taking (H)
  10. Now insert a row between “My Hobbies” and “Courses” and type “My Favorite Food” and list some of your favorite foods (H)
