Exercise 7:  Creating and Running an Update Query

 

1.)  Click query button and then click FinancialAid query

2.)  Next click edit at the top of the screen, and then click on copy under edit

    After clicking copy, click on paste and a paste as box should appear

     Type in “Financial Aid Update” as the name and click OK

3.)  Open Financial Aid Update query in Design View

     Use the Query Type Button on the toolbar and select Update Query

     The design view grid now has a new row called:  Update To

4.)  Under the Credits column and in the criteria row, enter >=45
 

     Under the Credits column and in the Update To row, type in “yes”.

 

    Click run query as done in previous exercises, its the exclamation point on the toolbar (!),           and click yes when warned about updating records.

 

    Close Design View and Save the Changes if asked
