Current Positions and Activities:

Barbara A. Gage has been a faculty member in the Physical Science Department at Prince George's Community College since January 1976.  During that time she has taught courses in chemistry, astronomy, and earth science.  She has developed, co-developed or significant revised 8 college courses and written numerous laboratory manuals and activities for students from elementary school through college.   She served in the role of Department Chair and Chair of the Council of Chairman from July 1987 to June 1995.

Her current interests center on development of inquiry-based activities to foster conceptual understanding of physical science.   With colleagues, she is exploring the application of technological tools to enhance  understanding of science concepts.

Recent curriculum projects include generation of inquiry-based activities manual for PSC 121 with laboratory preparation manual, revision of laboratory  activities for CHM 101 with update of instructor's manual and laboratory preparation guide and revision of CHM 103 activities
