Activities:
Barbara A. Gage served as a faculty member in the
Physical
Science Department at Prince George's Community College from January
1976 to June 2011, retiring in June 2011. During that time she
taught courses in chemistry, astronomy, and
earth science. She developed, co-developed or significant revised

college courses and wrote numerous laboratory manuals and activities
for
students from elementary school through college. She served
in the
role of Department Chair and Chair of the Council of Chairman from July
1987 to
June 1995. She was active in developing curriculum for and
teaching inquiry-based, in-service experiences for Prince George's
County Public Schools as well as directing summer science institute
experiences and providing assessment analysis.
