   ATTORNEY FEES
ATTORNEY AND PROFESSOR
BRUCE N. DESIMONE, M.B.A., J.D., L.L.C.

Fees for cases vary greatly for many reasons.  First, the type of case one has will determine the fee structure.  For example, if one has a criminal case, this is billed on a flat fee basis.  A divorce case is billed hourly.  A personal injury case is taken on a contingency; that is the attorney will only collect money if a judgment is awarded against the defendant.

Criminal cases vary in range from Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars for minor misdemeanors to thousands of dollars for a serious circuit court case.  The charges, factual allegations and other factors will determine what a case will cost.  However, Maryland Law requires that criminal cases are billed as a flat fee.  This means that there is one and only one attorney's fee.

Civil cases, like divorces are billed hourly.  If the case takes five (5) hours to resolve, the client is billed for five (5) hours.  If the case takes eighteen (18) hours to resolve, the client is billed for eighteen hours.

Dr. Desimone's currently hourly rate is extremely competitive.  Currently, he charges Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars per hour.
