Howard Community College is offering a program on Friday March 16th (9:30 to noon) that honors the pathbreaking work of George Sand [Aurore Dupin] and explores her longterm liaison with the composer/pianist Frederic Chopin.  A lecture on "George Sand: Agency in Life and Literature" will be followed by a piano performance, featuring some of the works of Chopin, directly or indirectly inspired by his intimate connections with Sand.
