Do I need a learner’s permit to enroll in the driver education course? No. You do not need a learner’s permit to enroll in the driver education course. You will need a learner’s permit before beginning the 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. For information on obtaining a learner’s permit visit the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration’s website, http://www.marylandmva.com/DriverServ/Apply/permit.htm.
How old do I have to be? You must be at least 16 years old in order to enroll in the driver’s education course. Participants under the age of 18 need to have the consent of a parent or guardian.
Can I use the program vehicle for the MVA road test? You may use the program vehicle for the MVA road test. There is an additional charge that will be collected when you schedule your road test.
What is the class schedule, and how can I register? The schedule is available as a PDF at http://www.pgcc.edu/current/schedules/. Select the current Workforce Development and Continuing Education schedule of classes. You can view and register for upcoming courses through OwlLink, the college’s online registration system. · Go to the college’s main website: www.pgcc.edu. · From the Quicklinks drop-down menu at the top of the page select Owl Link. · Click on “Workforce Devlp & Con Ed Students” · On next web page choose “Register for Cont. Ed. Course(s)” · Search for courses using the course code number (SKB-600) or by entering a keyword (e.g. driver ed) in the search form. · Proceed with course selection and enrollment. · You must pay with credit card using this enrollment process.
