Eligibility and Requirements to apply:

  • Full-time (enrolled in minimum of 12 credit hours) Student at Prince George’s Community College during semesters of award

  • Major in any STEM degree program *

  • 3.0 overall GPA (3.5 for entering high school graduates)

  • 3.0 GPA in STEM courses

  • No STEM grade below a C (if a course is repeated the most recent grade counts)

  • Have completed or tested out of Intermediate Algebra (MAT 104)

  • Be or become a member of the STEM Collegian Center and adhere to the requirements thereof

  • Demonstrate financial need per the U.S. Department of Education rules

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, Alien admitted as a Refugee, Alien lawfully admitted to U.S. for permanent residence

STEM majors**Sbiology, chemistry, computer engineering technology, computer information systems, computer science, electronic engineering technology, engineering, forensic studies, information security, mathematics, space engineering technology

**Pre-Medicine and Pre-Pharmacy majors might confer with their Counselors regarding declaring a STEM  major.
