Proctoring Services for other Schools and Agencies
Proctoring Services are provided by appointment only.
Student Assessment Services provides proctoring services for county residents enrolled in distance learning programs at other institutions of higher education at our Testing Center. Before having a college or university forward testing materials to Student Assessment Services, you must first contact the supervisor, Ava Johnson (phone: 301-322-0088) to determine whether our facility can provide proctoring for the particular test format you will be taking. Be sure to contact her well in advance of your planned examination date to insure proper and timely preparations and accomodations.

There is a $37.00 proctoring fee charged for the first test proctored in a semester.
Additional tests proctored during the same semester are charged $30.00 per test.
Semesters (for the purpose of these charges) occur as follows:
- Fall: 1st day of Fall credit classes until December 31.
- Spring: January 1 until April 30
- Summer: May 1 until the day before Fall credit classes begin.
- No more than two tests may be taken in one day.
- Prior to the proctoring appointment, students must submit properly completed paperwork (available from Ms. Johnson) to the Continuing Education Registration Office, for which a bill is generated to present with payment to the Cashier's Office.
- All fees associated with the exam must be paid prior to the proctoring appointment.
Examinees who will have their exams proctored by the Center must abide by the SAS Guidelines and Responsibilities of the SAS Testing Center, when they come to the Center. This applies regardless of the school they may actually attend.
The center reserves the right to deny ANY proctoring request.
Possible reasons for a denial include, but are not limited to, the following:
- lack of sufficient preparation time given to the Center for the exam
- refusal to pay any necessary fees or excessive tardiness in payment
- failure to provide valid payment for any shipping expenses
- frequent "last minute" appointment changes
- forwarding exam materials before obtaining the Center's explicit prior permission
- lack of accomodations, facilities, personnel or equipment at the Center for your exam
- violation of any of the Testing Center rules
