Instructions for Downloading ws_ftp at Home:
  1. Go to www.downloads.com
  2. In the search box type ws_ftp le and press the "GO" button.
  3. Click on the link WS_FTP LE 5.08 at the top of the page.
  4. Read description and notice that the license is free.
  5. Click on the animated green download button.

    How to Login to Our Web Server Using WS_FTP:
  1. Click on the application icon to open it and proceed to web server info.
  2. Type academic.pg.cc.md.us in the Profile Name box.
  3. Copy this same URL into the Host Name/Address box.
  4. Enter your User ID and your password for the academic server.
  5. Do not type anything in the Account box.
  6. Click OK.

    Transfer Files to Your Space on the Academic Server:

  1. Locate the A: Drive where your web is by scrolling down to the blue icon labeled A: at the bottom in the left panel of the WS_FTP program.
  2. Double click this A: icon to open this drive.
  3. Open your web folder.
  4. Open this folder and select everything in it.
  5. Open the "public_html" folder in right pane of the WS_FTP program.
  6. Click on the button/arrow that points right and wait, wait, wait until you get the message that the "transfer is complete" which will appear in the lower left hand corner.

Note: Type all file names and folder names in lower case without spaces to accommodate our UNIX web server.
