The applicant's complete portfolio must be submitted to the appropriate division committee by the first Friday in March (tenure) or the second Friday in March (promotion). Faculty members are responsible for including all of the supporting materials as specified in this document, as well as any additional evidence that supports a faculty member's candidacy. Failure to provide the required portfolio and supporting materials in compliance with the timetable will jeopardize a candidate's application for promotion and/or tenure.

E. Promotion Application Review and Recommendations

1. Not later than second Friday in March, portfolios including the applicants' relevant evaluation folders are made available to Division Promotion Committee.

2. Not later than fourth Friday in March, Division Promotion Committee makes recommendations and sends portfolios and evaluation folders to Dean.

3. Not later than second Friday in April, Dean makes recommendations and sends portfolios and evaluation folders Central File.

4. Not later than Friday before commencement, the Collegewide Promotion Committee and the respective VP for each faculty applicant make respective recommendations.

5. Not later than Tuesday before commencement, the Chair of the Collegewide Promotion Committee and the respective VP for each faculty applicant meet to discuss their recommendation(s) and send a joint memorandum to the college President. In the case(s) of disagreement between the Collegewide Promotion Committee and a VP, the President will make the decision.

6. After review, the President sends recommendations to Board of Trustees prior to June Board of Trustees meeting.

7. Consideration by Board of Trustees at the June meeting.
