This program is nationally accredited by the TAC/ ABET. It prepares individuals for immediate employment as Electronic Engineering Technologists and for transfer (junior standing) to bachelor degree programs. Serves as preparation for FCC certification exams. This program is recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as exceeding the requirements of the FAA Academy “Common Principles” training required of all newly hired FAA technologists/engineers. NOTE: Graduates of this program do not have to take the required FAA employment entrance examinations.
Subjects covered include:
electronics/circuits (digital and analog), electronic instrumentation, RF/microwave
and satellite communications, microprocessors, sensor circuits & OP amps,
amplifiers (power and small signal), power supplies, and extensive
troubleshooting skills. “Hands-on” instruction. Cooperative education
work/study internships and P/T employment are available.
