“Financial Literacy Service Learning Project” (co-sponsored by Hillman Entrepreneurs and Accounting club)

Training and Volunteer Opportunity in Financial Literacy

Become a Better Speaker (co-sponsored by the Humanities Collegian Center)

Members of the Raytheon Earthly Speakers an Affiliate of Toastmasters International will be on campus for a demonstration meeting. At the meeting, members will learn and practice techniques of effective public speaking, give impromptu talks and sharpen their listening/evaluation skills.

Collegian Only Event: Fieldtrip to Baltimore

Come spend a Saturday exploring Charm City. The collegian centers will provide transportation, maps, and guides and to help you discover all Baltimore has to offer. This event is open to all collegians, and each collegian may bring a guest. Limited seats are available. To reserve a spot, please email Kathy Yorkshire at bernardcenter@pgcc.edu.  You must reserve your seat by October 24, 2008. The bus will leave from the faculty parking lot in front of Queen Anne at 10:00 am sharp, and will return at 7:00 pm.

Visit from Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

The regional director will speak to student about the SBDC and its services to aspiring business owners.  There will be businesses represented to discuss how they got started and how they received assistance from the SBDC.

Owl Link training sessions/final exam study time (co-sponsored by all collegian centers) *this is a “collegian only" event.

Get ready for finals with an afternoon of pizza and studying with your fellow collegians. We will also provide a short demonstration of Owl Link to any interested students.  Please email Kathy Yorkshire at bernardcenter@pgcc.edu if you plan to attend
