Check with the Financial Aid Office for available scholarships.  A booklet listing these scholarships can be obtained in February or March.  These scholarships are competitive, and recipients are awarded funds for the fall and spring semesters.

The following is a list of several on-line services, both commercial and federally operated, that can assist any student in locating funding and resources to pay for the cost of higher education.  The services listed here are to aid in your search and are not guarantees of future funding.

           Government Organization
           This page offers links to the Department of Education and  to federally recommended student financial aid programs.  The FAFSA Form basically determines each student’s financial aid eligibility for federal funding grants, scholarships, and subsidized and unsubsidized loans.

This page includes a scholarship search engine for graduate awards and information on CSS Profile, FAFSA, National College Budgeting, SAT questions, and national college recruitment options.

This scholarship search engine encourages a user to input his or her current academic and financial situations, and a quick search of over 250,000 different resources provides all the funds for which a student can qualify.  An interesting feature of Collegenet is a discount on-line bookstore for college textbooks.

            This page is a comprehensive, free, independent guide to student financial aid  information.  It also offers references to helpful videos, books, software, and private services for finding scholarships and loan information.

      Commercial Organization
      Fastweb allows the user to personalize a search file for undergraduate and graduate scholarships and financial aid.  The Fastweb database searches over 400,000 different awards.  It also offers free e-mail accounts for students and   links to other financial aid pages.

(6)    CASHE:  COLLEGE AID SOURCE FOR HIGHER   EDUCATION:  www.salliemae.com
Commercial Organization
A student can fill out a profile form on this page, and the CASHE database searches funding resources such as fellowships, scholarships, grants, work study programs, loans, tuition waivers, internships, competitions, and work cooperatives.  The service is free, and the results are e-mailed directly to the student.
