STUDENT ART LEAGUE (SAL) FRAMING GUIDELINES
Drawings, Photographs, Watercolors, Illustrations, Original Computer Printouts, Basic Design Collages, MUST BE MATTED, FRAMED & HAVE GLASS/PLEXIGLASS FOR PROTECTION. Professionally mounted (foam core) work will be accepted at the discretion of SAL Advisor.
sculpture and ceramic Contact your instructor for ceramic wall hangings or special presentations.
oil and acrylic paintings Must be framed. Picture hanging wire MUST be secured to the back. Work submitted without secure frame and wire will be REJECTED.

Obtain instructor’s approval and signature on entry form for alternative, special framing treatments.
Picture hanging wire must be secured on the back of the frame in the standard professional manner using framing screw eyelets. Frames using any kind of hook without wire for hanging cannot be used in the gallery and will be REJECTED. NO plastic frame boxes. NO tape holding frames together. During the faculty screening and show installation artwork is subject to a great deal of handling, therefore, FRAMES MUST BE STRONG AND STURDY. UNSTABLE FRAMES WILL BE REJECTED. Ask instructor and/or Prof. Tom Berault, Gallery Coordinator, for further guidance.

PLEASE ENSURE EACH ENTRY HAS A FULLY COMPLETED ENTRY FORM WITH CORRECT CATEGORY CODE. (Exception: Computer Slideshow and Animation entries use log-in sheet from instructors, NOT entry forms.)
ENTRY FORMS can be downloaded from the Art Department’s web page: http://academic.pgcc.edu/artandmusic/
Entry forms MUST include an Art Department instructor’s name. PGCC students not currently enrolled in art classes may use Professor Berault’s name, but contact first for consent. Complete ALL sections of the entry form. The bottom half is retained by the student after submitting work, and is to be used as a RECEIPT TO COLLECT ARTWORK AT A LATER DATE. The top half is attached to the artwork.

A realistic Dollar ($) value: This is used for the show's insurance list.
Either a selling price if piece is for sale, or NFS (not for sale) if student doesn't want to sell.
If work is for sale, the Art League needs a contact phone number to notify you of potential buyers.
