http://www.northwesternmutual.com/games/longevity/longevity-main.html
Developed by Northwestern
Mutual Insurance, this game allows you to calculate your life expectancy
based on lifestyle as well as genetics. The question of "how long will you
live" and the activity of calculating that lifespan are great
introductions for the unit on adulthood and aging. It is an activity that
engages most students since everyone is interested how long he or she will
live. The activity can serve as a jumping off point for discussing the
influences on secondary aging. The activity could also be used in the
Health Psychology unit since it highlights the impact of lifestyle on
longevity. The site includes a section of advice from centenarians on how
to live to be 100.
