Title 3 Supersite
|
Biological Bases of
Behavior
-
http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/neurok.html
This site was created by a
professor at the University of Washington. This particular page is geared
for kids but has many activities that are appropriate (and fun) to use
with an introductory psychology class. The page includes links to
neuroscience on the internet as well as experiments and activities. In
addition, there is an "Ask the Neuroscientist" that is helpful for those
obscure questions that students generate. Some of the activities include
building a model of the brain using modeling clay. There is a printable
coloring book, useful for exams and identifying parts of the brain. The
site includes directions for games that must be played outside such as
"synaptic tag" that would be a good way to take a class outside during
nice weather. It is also a way to help visual and kinesthetic learners
grasp these concepts.

http://inst.santafe.cc.fl.us/~mwehr/xpindex.htm
This is a compendium of
interactive sites related to the biological bases of behavior. The site
contains a number of tutorials as well as interactive exercises. There are
even some discussions in which students can participate. There are links
to many other sites, many at other universities. It contains a wealth of
information that will help students better visualize the brain and the
connection between brain and behavior. The site is exceedingly well
organized and easy to navigate.
-
http://www.brainconnection.com
A link to the Brain
Connection homepage which offers articles and other links to information
on the brain.
