This course is not an ongoing self-paced course. It
is a course given during each of the regular semester time frames. The course
will be given during each of the three semesters. The information here will give
you an idea about what we will be doing. There may be some changes so
these are not absolutes. The schedule will change each
semester. The rest of the syllabus remains the same.
All online courses require a proctored final exam which is taken on campus in the Testing Center. Additionally, students may have to visit campus to use the Library. While the course is given online and regular attendance on campus is not required, you will have to come to campus to take the final and to possible use the Library in order to complete some of the projects. Be sure to read the information on the textbook before purchasing. County teachers who are enrolling in order to meet certification requirements should understand that this is a credit-bearing college course. It is not a workshop. As such, there are weekly assignments and term projects as well as tests involved. It involves at least 10-12 hours of work per week. Please take that into account when planning your schedule. If you are a County teacher who is taking this course for certification, please be aware that it is a college course and is not a workshop.
